One of the most famous route that most of the travellers to Ladakh prefer is from Manali to Leh and than Srinagar. Here in our Delhi to Ladakh Tour Package we will be covering around all the places in Leh circuit including Tso Morir, Pangong Tso, Nubra Valley, Kargil and Zoji La Pass.

Your journey will start with mesmerizing Manali & Kullu Valley and will end up in Srinagar with a lot of lifetime memories with you.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Delhi to Manali (536 km)

    Introduction Briefing Mandi Pandoh Hanogi
    After reaching the assembly point at 7:00 pm, you will be meeting your guide and tour coordinator here. After a session of short brief and introduction with other group members, we will be driving to picturesque Manali overnight.Total distance covered will be 536km which we will doing with a number of beautiful stops en route where you can spend some time relaxing and soaking into the fresh atmosphere in the morning.
  • Day 02: Manali, local sightseeing

    Hidimba Temple The Mall Road
    Manali is a beautiful town, located in the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh. After your check-in in the hotel and taking rest for a while, we will be doing local sightseeing in Manali including the 14th century Hidimba Devi Temple; Vashisht Temple, famous for its natural hot water bath and The Mall road in Manali. Dinner & overnight stay in Manali.
  • Day 03: Manali to Jispa (135 km)

    Rohtang Pass Koksar Keylong
    Today you will start off from Manali and move towards Rohtang pass (13,052 ft) after crossing some villages like Bahang, Kulang, Palchan and Kothi by riding along the riverside (river Beas). Then come Gramphu, Koksar, Tandi and Keylong. Check-in to your hotel/camp in Jispa for night stay.
  • Day 04: Jispa to Tso Moriri (5-7 hr)

    After breakfast drive will take you to Tsomoriri. The Tso moriri Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. Recently opened to foreigners due to the proximity of the Chinese boarder, the Chumathang is a land of wilderness and magnificent landscapes, Tsomoriri Lake is also the breeding ground for numerous species of birds, like the bar headed goose, crested grebe, the Brahmini duck (ruddy shelduck) and the brown-headed gull. The Tso Moriri Lake is 8 kms wide and 28 kms long. Upon arrival we check in at our camp for overnight.
  • Day 05: Tso Moriri - Tso Kar – Tanglang La (17,586 ft)– Leh (240 km / 8 hr)

    After an early breakfast we check out from our camp and visit Korzok village with its houses and its Gompa appearing like a mirage. The few barley fields at Korzok must be among the highest cultivation in the world. Later we drive to Tsokar, The nomadic people Changpas are most outstanding feature of this area. They can be seen moving from one place to other grazing herds of goats, sheep and yaks. Changpas pass their days with their animals and move with their flocks, their only wealth from pasture to pasture according to changing season. Their flocks, their yaks, and goat's hair furnish the raw material of which they make their ropes, their clothes and shoes. All day long men and women are busy milking, churning the milk into butter, making ropes, weaving mats and other fabrics. These people have been completely beyond the pale of all civilizing influences.

    Even towards the fag end of the twenty first century, they belong to a primitive pre-historic age, The Drive is scenic and Tsokar lake is one of the best. And after spending some time we proceed further to Leh. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel in Leh.
  • Day 06: Leh Local Sightseeing

    After breakfast drive to explore the beauty of Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Hall of fame.

    Shanti Stupa:- Shanti stupa was founded in 1985 sponsored by Japanese for world peace. It was inaugurated by His holiness the 14th Dalai lama. Shanti stupa has a spectacular view od Leh city and Stok glacier.

    Hall of fame:- Hall of fame is a museum founded by Indian military, the museum have the display of the seized arms & ammunitions of Pakistan during the Kargil war and has the display of the the Ladakhi culture as well. A must visit museum.

    Leh Palace:-The Leh Palace known as ‘Lachen Palkhar’ was built by Singay Namgyal, around the beginning of 17th century AD. The nine-storey Palace is now deserted, and archeological survey of India has taken up the renovation work.Over night in hotel.

  • Day 07: Leh - Excusrion to Pangong Lake - 13,930ft (160 km / 4-5 hr – one way)

    Full day trip, after early morning breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake through Changla pass (5,300m/17,586ft) world third highest motorable road in the world. After 2 hrs of drive you reach to Changla pass, stop for a short period for photography. Drive ascending towards Pangong reach Tangtse where you can relax for a cup of tea/ coffee. Leaving Tangtse for Pangong you pass through few small villages of Changthang and finally you can have a sudden view of the Pangong lake situated at 13,930 feet. This famous high altitude Lake of Pangong is 5- 8Kms wide and over 140 Kms long with 30 % in India and 70% in China. This large, serene lake forms a brilliant color variation including deep blue, dark green, turquoise,etc. After spending some time at lake drive back to Leh via same route. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 08: Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardung La - 18,380ft (120 km / 4-5 hr)

    After breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602m/18,380ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000ft above sea level.

    Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.
  • Day 09: Nubra Valley - Leh (120 km / 4–5 hr)

    Double Humped CamelDiskit

    After an early breakfast we check out from the Camp and drive to Hunder where you have opportunity to ride on a Bactrian Camel (double humped) amidst the sand dunes of this high altitude desert with snow capped mountains on the horizon. Between Hunder and Diskit you come across sand dunes besides the road. Seen in isolation you could well be amongst the sand dunes of the Thar Desert in Rajasthan. It is indeed a strange sight since immediately on the left of the road are rockymountains that characterize the Ladakhi landscape and in the distance can be seen snow-capped mountains. On the return stop at Diskit which is the headquarter town of Nubra Valley. Stroll around the bazaar observing the shops and local people going about their daily chores. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley.

    Later we drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh you will check in to your Hotel. In the afternoon you can rest and relax. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping.
  • Day 10: Leh to Kargil via Namkila Pass (12,198 ft.) & FotoLa Pass(3,510 m)

    After breakfast drive towards Kargil with some spectacular view from the pass. Overnight hotel in Kargil.

    Mulbek: The chief attraction is Mulbek Chamba, a 9m high rock sculpture in deep relief of the Maitreya, the “Future Buddha” which reflects a unique blend of esoteric symbolism, with early Buddhist art.

    Lamayuru: It was originally the foremost Bonpo monastery in Ladakh and was called g Yung-Drung Monastery (from Tibetan: g Yung-drung-a swastika-a popular symbol in Bon, Buddhism. The oldest surviving building at Lamayuru is a temple called Seng-ge-sgang, at the southern end of the Lamayuru rock, which is attributed to the famous builder-monk Rinchen Zangpo. (958-1055 CE). Lamayuru is also known by Land o Broken Moon
  • Day 11: Kargil to Srinagar via Sonamarg

    On a way to Srinagar we have to pass through Sonmarg and after g long drive we reach Srinagarby late evening. Overnight at Houseboat.

    Zoji La: (3528m) Zojila is located on the National Highway 1D between Srinagar and Leh in the western section of the Himalayan mountain range. Zoji La is 9 km (5.6 mi) from Sonmarg and provides a vital link between Ladakh and Kashmir and is the second highest pass after Fotu La on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway.

    Drass: (3280m) A few km beyond Drass is the Drass war memorial, built in the memory of fallen soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war and a must visit for every traveller passing through this route. From here it is a straight run to Kargil and you will be there with in 1-½ Hours. Kargil is the intended pit stop for the majority of travelers.
  • Day 12: Srinagar Airport Drop

    In the morning after breakfast you will leave for Srinagar International Airport for your onwards Journey, with sweet memories of Trip.
